Participant packs

Consent before exposure

Protect and share creative work.

A handout for finishing one piece, sharing it on agreed terms and documenting a portfolio without turning people into evidence.

Use this privately or with a facilitator. You may pass, change direction or stop. The site does not create an account, store this pack or require a public commitment.

Work through five prompts

  1. Name one piece and define what finished means for this version. Keep the size, time, materials and audience small enough to protect your energy and budget.
  2. Separate your own material from a collaborator’s contribution, private story, community knowledge, commissioned work or copyrighted source. Ask before using or publishing what is not yours.
  3. Agree what the audience may record, quote, screenshot, repost or keep. Say what kind of response would help, and keep declining, leaving or sharing privately as real choices.
  4. Document your role accurately. Ask each collaborator how they want to be credited, whether a name, image, quote or process detail may appear, and what should stay private or be removed later.
  5. Review craft, response, time, cost, energy, rights and relationships separately. Choose whether to continue, change, pause or keep the work private without treating attention or selection as proof of readiness.

Support routes to consider

Nesta’s DIY Toolkit is a worldwide online planning resource, not a creative programme. Puntos de Cultura is for eligible established community cultural organisations in Chile; recognition and funding are separate. CREATIVA hubs are in Egypt, with offering-specific eligibility, cost and access to confirm. FAB LAB LIVRE SP is a free public São Paulo maker network, but registration, capacity, materials and safety conditions differ by activity. JAIH describes a Uganda makerspace and independent-inventor route; current residency intake, selection and cost remain unverified. None requires monetisation or proves ownership, grant readiness, funding, an audience, a market or a career outcome.

A listing is not a partnership, recommendation, open-place confirmation or promise of an outcome. Check each official route before committing time, money or information.
